How to Buy Metabase Tokens: A Step by Step Guide

This is a step-by-step guide on how to buy Metabase tokens.
A very important note before we begin. We will never contact you directly about the pre-sale or ICO. We will keep everyone updated via email and will never ask you to send us any money or ETH via social media or email. Be aware that there are scammers everywhere trying to trick you into sending cryptocurrency to the wrong address. Please be vigilant. Follow these steps to buy Metabase tokens.
What You’ll Need
In order to purchase your Meta tokens you will need:
- ID (identity card, passport, driving license).
- ETH wallet to receive ERC-20 tokens.
- Credit card or ETH to buy the tokens.
What currencies can I use to purchase META?
You can use Ether (ETH), or your credit card to purchase Metabase tokens in US dollars.
The tokens you will receive after payment are ERC-20 tokens with the symbol MBT, which you can start trading after the usage restriction period. When the Metabase main net launches, all the MBT tokens you hold will be converted to META tokens for use on the Metabase Network.
What is an ETH Wallet?
An ETH wallet functions like a bank account. Except there is no bank to manage your account. You manage your wallet yourself.
Why do I need an ETH Wallet?
In order to receive your Metabase tokens, you need an ERC20 compatible wallet.
What ETH wallets can I use?
There are several ETH wallets you can use. Popular choices are MyEtherWallet and MetaMask.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Phishing attacks are very common. Make sure you are visiting the correct website by typing out the website address yourself. Do not click on links people send you to access MyEtherWallet.
Can I send Ether from an exchange or a smart contract?
No, DO NOT send crypto from an exchange or from a Smart contract.
Buying Metabase Tokens
You can purchase tokens at https://ico.metabase.network. Make sure there is a secure green lock on the address bar of your browser.
1 — If you have registered before, please log in from the top right hand corner.
2 — If it is your first time on this page, fill in your personal information, address, and citizenship status into the blanks.
3 — Select your payment method. Most of our users pay with Credit Cards and Ether (ETH). We are now integrated with ShapeShift, so you can buy tokens with popular currencies like Bitcoin (BTC), Ripple (XRP), Litecoin (LTC), and more!
4 — Click on the checkbox to indicate you are aware of, agree, and accept our token sale agreement, as well as the features and risks of the token sale.
5 — Fill in the amount you want to buy in USD (minimum purchase is 5 US dollars). Add in a bonus coupon if you have one. Click on “Place my order” and wait a few seconds for the payment screen to pop-up.
We use a 128-bit SSL encrypted connection so you can safely transact on this site.
For the credit card payment method
Enter your card details (card number, expiry date, and CCV number).
If you select “Remember me”, you will be asked to add your mobile phone number for added security.
For the Ethereum payment method
Send the exact amount of ETH indicated on the payment screen by manually copying the wallet address or scanning the QR code wallet address.

For payment with other cryptocurrencies
You can select the currency you want to pay with from the dropdown list on your right.
Enter a wallet address to receive a refund of your selected cryptocurrency if the transaction fails.
Send the selected cryptocurrency to the provided address to complete your payment.
We’re almost done!
After payment, you will see the above page. This dashboard page shows you a summary of your account details and purchases.
6 — To receive your tokens, complete your registration by clicking on “Complete Now”.
7a — Upload a clear image of your ID Card or Passport. This document is required for KYC and we strictly do not accept blur images. Click on “View instructions” for a sample.
7b — Enter your Ethereum wallet address. Your wallet must be able to accept ERC-20 tokens. We recommend using MetaMask or MyEtherWallet. DO NOT use a wallet address from an exchange (e.g. Coinbase). If you need to create a wallet, check out the “How do I set up my ETH wallet?” section of this post.
Once you complete registration, we will send the tokens you purchased to your wallet.
You will receive an email confirmation once you receive your tokens within 1 hour.
Note: if you do not pass KYC, we will refund your payment to us and the tokens you have received in your wallet will be burned in this process.
Returning purchases and buying more MBT
Once you have made a purchase, you can log back into your account anytime to purchase more MBT. Having an account means you don’t have to fill in all your details again. Look out for an email in your inbox from no-reply@mailer.metabase.network to set a password for your account.
